About Our Studio

About Karine Brewer, Founder & Creative Director

At age four, I cut a corner of our living room curtains to make my doll a dress—so I guess you could say I always had a creative spark! After learning to sew at age nine, there was no turning back.

Fueled by a passion for making and creating, I turned my love for sewing into an exciting career in fashion. Over the years, I dove into every aspect of the industry: from conceptual design and fashion illustration to pattern drafting, sewing, photoshoots, and retail. I feel incredibly lucky to have experienced it all.

Today, as a mother of two, I’m thrilled to share my love of sewing through Sew Far, Sew Good. Here, I teach sewing to students of all ages, from beginners learning the basics to more advanced makers. I’m here to support your sewing journey, wherever it takes you.

Learning to sew is more than practical; it’s transformative. It encourages creativity, builds confidence, and strengthens problem-solving skills for kids and adults alike. At Sew Far, Sew Good, I believe sewing is a lifelong skill that can inspire and empower at any age. Let’s discover the joy of sewing together!
